What should I do about food???

So every month my parents give me $700 to pay for rent, food and all other expenses since rent is $550 a month I usually have $150 for food but this month I had to pay a class fee that ended up costing $143 so I only have seven dollars for food and then a small meal plan through the campus. I really don’t want to have to ask for more money because I’m trying to be independent but I am not sure if I can make it through the month on seven dollars. So for this month my plan is to buy a lot of cheap food like top ramen or in something that will last a while like cereal without milk then only eat that for dinner if I can’t make it to school for dinner but I really don’t have any more ideas on how to live off seven dollars. If anyone has any ideas on other stuff to eat that would be cool but the month is half over so I think I can make it without having to worry too much.

Do I want to Transfer Schools???

Ever since the third week at my current school I have wanted to transfer. I don’t think I made the right choice in schools, the school I am currently at is very free and open, people are nice and professors are helpful but in that same sense there are a lot of hippies and tree huggers both of which I despise to no end. I feel the school I am at now is in the middle of nowhere, as there is about 200 or more miles to any major city and all the little cities are spread out meaning if you want to go anywhere, except for the small plaza in town, you have to drive. One school I have been looking to transfer to is SUNY Stony Brook, because it is a better school in a more urban area, aside from being only a 60 mile drive to New York City, and the only downside I can think of is it is all the way across the country and out of state student tuition is like five times what I’m paying now. I think I would need to go visit before making my decision but as of now this is the school I plan on attending in the next year.
